Fun day - 27th MayThe focus for this month’s fun day was a Texas Scramble, which was successfully organised by Gill. On one of the hottest days on record for May, three teams set out. We actually managed to get a great picture before we se t off. However, we all turned down the opportunity for an after shot.

Over Nighter at Old Thorns
March 18th and 19th saw six brave ladies take on the challenge of this premier 18-hole, par-72 championship parkland course near Liphook. Driving buggies was a whole new experience for a few but saved the legs on some very hilly holes.
The weather could not have been kinder, and a great couple of days was had by all who attended.
Away Day at Beachlands Par 3 Golf course, Hayling Island
Wednesday 12th March saw 12 of us heading off for an away day at Beachlands, which is a par 3 course, situated on Hayling Island.
To add a little interest to the day we only counted our putts. In teams of 3 for the first 3 holes, the number of putts for each player in the team was counted. For holes 4 to 6 only the lowest two putts were counted and on the final 3 holes only the lowest number of putts were counted. Two teams scored exactly the same number requiring a count back. As team 3 had a score of 1 putt on the 9th hole, they were declared the winners.
Prizes of chocolate Easter eggs were presented over a delicious lunch at the Yew Tree on Hayling Island.
A thoroughly enjoyable day.
