Wednesday 26th August

For our August away day we went to the pay and play 12 hole course in Petersfield

where we were made to feel incredibly welcome.

The course offered many new challenges and some very interesting holes.

To make it even more interesting, this away day was also our fun day so we were asked to half our score for hole 2,

double the score on hole 5 and triple the score on hole 7.

After our round we were joined by some other club members, who hadn’t been able to play, for a picnic.

We chose to all meet up inside the club house as it proved to be yet another very hot day.

The staff very kindly brought more chairs so that we could all sit together.

Thank you Petersfield for making us feel so very welcome.

Wednesday 29th July 2026

Fun game

We had a game called 3 2 1, for which we just counted the putts.

The 3 players score the 3 putts on the first hole,

then best of 2 putts on the next hole,

then best 1 putt on the next.

Then to carry on 3, 2 ,1 on round the 9 holes.

Thoroughly enjoyed by everyone

Fun day - 27th May

The focus for this month’s fun day was a Texas Scramble, which was successfully organised by Gill.

On one of the hottest days on record for May, three teams set out.

We had a great round with many laughs, umbrellas for shade and plenty of water.

The winning team, for this month’s game, were Sylvie, Elna, Pam and Chris - who were all delighted to birdie the 9th.

We actually managed to get a great picture before we set off.

However, we all turned down the opportunity for an after shot.

Over Nighter at Old Thorns

Old Thorns

March 18th and 19th saw six brave ladies take on the challenge of this premier 18-hole,

par-72 championship parkland course near Liphook.

Driving buggies was a whole new experience for a few but saved the legs on some very hilly holes.

Wednesday 12th March saw 12 of us heading off for an away day at Beachlands,

which is a par 3 course, situated on Hayling Island.

Fun day 3Fun day 4

To add a little interest to the day we only counted our putts.

In teams of 3 for the first 3 holes, the number of putts for each player in the team was counted.

For holes 4 to 6 only the lowest two putts were counted and on the final 3 holes

only the lowest number of putts were counted.

Two teams scored exactly the same number requiring a count back.

As team 3 had a score of 1 putt on the 9th hole, they were declared the winners.
